The Mifflinburg Wildcats basketball team (Mifflinburg, PA), dropped 47-28 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Shamokin Area Indians (Coal Township, PA)

The Indians now possess a 13-4 record. They put it on the line next when they host Milton for a Heartland II battle on Saturday, January 28. Shamokin Area will battle a Black Panthers team coming off a 52-17 league loss to Central Columbia (Bloomsburg, PA). The Black Panthers record now stands at 1-12.

The Wildcats (4-10) will now prepare for their battle against Midd-West (Middleburg, PA). The Mustangs come into the Heartland III battle with a 1-12 record. In their last battle, Midd-West dropped by Montoursville (Montoursville, PA), 50-17, in a non-league battle.
