Narragansett Mariners (Narragansett, RI) backers were in high spirits Thursday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Pilgrim Patriots (Warwick, RI), 49-35 in a league bout.

With the win, Narragansett upgrades its record to 8-5 on the season. The Mariners host Burrillville (Harrisville, RI) to play the Broncos in a Division 3 bout on Wednesday, February 1. The Broncos go into the bout with a record of 3-10. Burrillville lost 40-23 in their recent league bout against Middletown (Middletown, RI)

Next up, the Patriots play the North Providence Cougars (North Providence, RI) in a Division 3 bout, on Wednesday, February 1. Pilgrim will attempt to upgrade on its 10-5 season record.
