Fans at Thursday's non-league challenge between the Pelion Panthers (Pelion, SC) and the visiting Williston-Elko Blue Devils (Williston, SC), witnessed Pelion's basketball squad nip Williston-Elko by a margin of 42-38.

The Panthers (11-10) will now prepare for their test against Fox Creek (North Augusta, SC). The Predators go into the AA Region 3 test with a 2-15 record. In their last test, Fox Creek was tipped by Silver Bluff (Aiken, SC), 65-11, in a league test.

The Blue Devils now own a 6-12 record. They play next when they host Ridge Spring-Monetta for a A Region 4 test on Friday, January 27. Williston-Elko will encounter a Trojans squad coming off a 85-10 league loss to Denmark-Olar (Denmark, SC). The Trojans record now stands at 1-14.
