The Reed-Custer Comets basketball team (Braidwood, IL), was overwhelmed 56-21 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Peotone Blue Devils (Peotone, IL)
The Blue Devils now possess a 23-0 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Fieldcrest for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. Peotone will confront a Knights team coming off a 55-52 league win over Tremont (Tremont, IL). The Knights record now stands at 22-3.
The Comets (12-15) will now prepare for their battle against Wilmington (Wilmington, IL). The Wildcats come into the Illinois Central 8 battle with a 10-13 record. In their last battle, Wilmington was overwhelmed by Herscher (Herscher, IL), 41-30, in a league battle.
