In Thursday's non-league outing, the Sherman Tide (Seth, WV) basketball squad beat the visiting Van Bulldogs (Van, WV), by a count of 47-31.
The Tide (5-5) will now prepare for their outing against Meadow Bridge (Meadow Bridge, WV). The Wildcats go into the Coalfield A outing with a 12-1 record. In their last outing, Meadow Bridge defeated Paden City (Paden City, WV), 50-37, in a non-league outing.
The Bulldogs now hold a 0-11 record. They play next when they travel to Independence for a non-league outing on Wednesday, February 1.
