The Pioneer Mustangs basketball team (San Jose, CA), was toppled 47-30 in Thursday's league battle with the visiting Branham Bruins (San Jose, CA)
The Bruins now possess a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Gunn for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 28. Branham will confront a Titans team coming off a 38-28 league loss to Cupertino (Cupertino, CA). The Titans record now stands at 3-7.
The Mustangs (10-4) will now prepare for their battle against Evergreen Valley (San Jose, CA). The Cougars come into the battle with a 4-7 record. In their last battle, Evergreen Valley was toppled by Christopher (Gilroy, CA), 53-17, in a league battle.
