New Mexico High School Basketball - Volcano Vista knocked off by Rio Rancho

The Rio Rancho Rams basketball team scored 48 points and held the host Volcano Vista Hawks to 32 in the Rams non-league triumph on Thursday.

The Rams now sport a 15-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Los Alamos for a non-league contest on Monday, January 30. Rio Rancho will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 29-15 non-league win over Taos (Taos, NM). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 5-4.

The Hawks (8-4) will now prepare for their contest against Del Norte (Albuquerque, NM). The Knights enter the non-league contest with a 1-6 record. In their last contest, Del Norte was defeated by Valley (Albuquerque, NM), 41-39, in a non-league contest.
