The Clayton Comets (Clayton, NC) basketball nipped the host Southeast Raleigh Bulldogs (Raleigh, NC), 55-50 in Thursday's non-league test.

The Comets (14-6) will now prepare for their test against Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Bengals go into the non-league test with a 2-14 record. In their last test, Fuquay - Varina was tipped by Willow Spring (Fuquay-Varina, NC), 42-32, in a league test.

The Bulldogs now own a 10-10 record. They play next when they host Willow Spring for a test on Monday, January 30. Southeast Raleigh will encounter a Storm squad coming off a 42-32 league win over Fuquay - Varina (Fuquay-Varina, NC). The Storm record now stands at 10-8.
