Midland Valley Mustangs (Graniteville, SC) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Airport Eagles (West Columbia, SC), 59-57 in a league bout.

With the win, Midland Valley upgrades its record to 4-13 on the season. The Mustangs host Aiken (Aiken, SC) to play the Fighting Green Hornets in a AAAA Region 4 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Fighting Green Hornets go into the bout with a record of 12-9. Aiken lost 56-42 in their recent league bout against North Augusta (North Augusta, SC)

Next up, the Eagles play the South Aiken Thoroughbreds (Aiken, SC) in a AAAA Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Airport will attempt to upgrade on its 7-15 season record. The Thoroughbreds go into the bout with a 4-18 record after their 78-49 league loss to North Augusta (North Augusta, SC).
