The Alameda Hornets basketball team scored 83 points and restricted the visiting Castro Valley Trojans to 74 in the Hornets league victory on Friday.

The Hornets now sport a 12-7 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to San Lorenzo for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Alameda will battle a Grizzlies team coming off a 80-63 league win over Tennyson (Hayward, CA). The Grizzlies record now stands at 8-13.

The Trojans (9-12) will now prepare for their contest against Linden (Linden, CA). The Lions come into the non-league contest with a 6-16 record. In their last contest, Linden was defeated by Bear Creek (Stockton, CA), 67-24, in a league contest.
