The Appleton North Lightning basketball team scored 68 points and held the host Oshkosh West Wildcats to 54 in the Lightning league triumph on Friday.

The Lightning now sport a 14-1 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Neenah for a Fox Valley contest on Saturday, January 27. Appleton North will battle a Rockets team coming off a 63-54 league win over Kaukauna (Kaukauna, WI). The Rockets record now stands at 9-7.

The Wildcats (5-11) will now prepare for their contest against Kimberly (Kimberly, WI). The Papermakers enter the Fox Valley contest with a 11-5 record. In their last contest, Kimberly ran past Brookfield Central (Brookfield, WI), 78-75, in a non-league contest.
