The Surry County Cougars (Dendron, VA) basketball crushed the host Appomattox Regional Governor's Arts & Tech Dragons (Petersburg, VA), 64-31 in Friday's league test.

The Cougars (3-15) will now prepare for their test against Brunswick (Lawrenceville, VA). The Bulldogs go into the Tri-Rivers test with a 16-3 record. In their last test, Brunswick walloped Mecklenburg County (Baskerville, VA), 69-62, in a non-league test.
