Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Churchill Lancers (Eugene, OR) and the host Ashland Grizzlies (Ashland, OR), saw Churchill's basketball squad hold off Ashland by a tally of 45-39.

With the victory, Churchill improves its record to 5-11 on the campaign. The Lancers travel to Crater (Central Point, OR) to confront the Comets in a 5A Midwestern challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Comets come into the challenge with a record of 13-4. Crater lost 61-57 in their recent league challenge against Thurston (Springfield, OR)

Next up, the Grizzlies confront the Thurston Colts (Springfield, OR) in a 5A Midwestern challenge, on Friday, February 2. Ashland will attempt to improve on its 5-12 season record.
