Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Baldwin Braves (Milledgeville, GA) and the host Griffin Bears (Griffin, GA), saw Baldwin's basketball squad hold off Griffin by a count of 56-53.

With the victory, Baldwin upgrades its record to 19-2 on the campaign. The Braves host Westside (Macon, GA) to play the Seminoles in a AAAA Region 2 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Seminoles come into the challenge with a record of 16-7. Westside won 63-44 in their recent league challenge against Howard (Macon, GA)

Next up, the Bears play the Southwest DeKalb Panthers (Decatur, GA) in a non-league battle, on Saturday, January 27. Griffin will attempt to improve on its 11-9 season record. The Panthers come into the battle with a 8-9 record after their 52-18 league win over Clarkston (Clarkston, GA).
