Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Mays Raiders (Atlanta, GA) and the host Banneker Trojans (College Park, GA), saw Mays's basketball squad wallop Banneker by a tally of 81-47.

With the victory, Mays improves its record to 13-5 on the campaign. The Raiders host Lithia Springs (Lithia Springs, GA) to confront the Lions in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge on Saturday, January 27. The Lions come into the challenge with a record of 11-9. Lithia Springs won 67-42 in their recent league challenge against Villa Rica (Villa Rica, GA)

Next up, the Trojans confront the Chapel Hill Panthers (Douglasville, GA) in a AAAAA Region 5 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Banneker will attempt to improve on its 8-12 season record. The Panthers come into the challenge with a 16-5 record after their 91-45 league win over Creekside (Fairburn, GA).
