In Friday's non-league outing, the Franklin Parish Patriots (Winnsboro, LA) basketball squad overwhelmed the host Bastrop Rams (Bastrop, LA), by a count of 67-30.

The Patriots (19-9) will now prepare for their outing against Peabody (Alexandria, LA). The Warhorses go into the 4A District 2 outing with a 24-5 record. In their last outing, Peabody was crushed by Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA), 86-57, in a non-league outing.

The Rams now hold a 6-19 record. They play next when they travel to Richwood for a 3A District 1 outing on Monday, January 29. Bastrop will clash with a Rams squad coming off a 80-52 league win over Sterlington (Sterlington, LA). The Rams record now stands at 16-10.
