Bear River Bears (Garland, UT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad nudge the visiting Green Canyon Wolves (North Logan, UT), 40-38 in a league game.

In their next game, the Bears face the Sky View Bobcats (Smithfield, UT) in a 4A Region 11 game, on Friday, February 2. Bear River will attempt to move on its 13-4 season record. The Bobcats enter the game with a 6-11 record after their 51-49 league win over Mountain Crest (Hyrum, UT).

With the defeat, Green Canyon moves to 14-4 on the year. The Wolves travel to Ridgeline (Millville, UT) to face the Riverhawks in a 4A Region 11 game on Friday, February 2. The Riverhawks enter the game with a record of 13-5. Ridgeline won 53-50 in their recent league game against Logan (Logan, UT)
