The Bedford Bearcats basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Shaw Cardinals to 36 in the Bearcats league triumph on Friday.

The Bearcats now sport a 8-5 record. They put it on the line next when they host Villa Angela-St. Joseph for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. Bedford will meet a Vikings team coming off a 81-78 non-league win over Lake Catholic (Mentor, OH). The Vikings record now stands at 10-5.

With the defeat, Shaw moves to 3-10 on the year. The Cardinals host East Tech (Cleveland, OH) to meet the Scarabs in a non-league match on Wednesday, January 31. The Scarabs enter the match with a record of 8-3.
