Northeast Rebels (Goose Lake, IA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Bellevue Comets (Bellevue, IA), 54-51 in a league bout.

With the win, Northeast upgrades its record to 9-7 on the season. The Rebels travel to Camanche (Camanche, IA) to clash with the Indians in a River Valley bout on Monday, January 29. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Camanche lost 68-38 in their recent non-league bout against Northridge (Niles, IL)

Next up, the Comets clash with the Beckman Trailblazers (Dyersville, IA) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Bellevue will attempt to upgrade on its 8-7 season record. The Trailblazers go into the bout with a 4-12 record after their 65-47 non-league loss to Maquoketa (Maquoketa, IA).
