South Carolina High School Basketball - Belton-Honea Path topped by Palmetto

The Palmetto Mustangs basketball team scored 70 points and restricted the visiting Belton-Honea Path Bears to 55 in the Mustangs league victory on Friday.

The Mustangs now sport a 4-18 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Wren for a AAA Region 2 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Palmetto will battle a Hurricanes team coming off a 89-53 league win over Southside (Greenville, SC). The Hurricanes record now stands at 17-5.

The Bears (11-11) will now prepare for their contest against Fountain Inn (Fountain Inn, SC). The Fury come into the AAA Region 2 contest with a 13-10 record. In their last contest, Fountain Inn was defeated by Powdersville (Greenville, SC), 79-48, in a league contest.
