The Belvidere North Blue Thunder basketball team scored 51 points and held the visiting Belvidere Bucs to 38 in the Blue Thunder league triumph on Friday.

The Blue Thunder now sport a 17-7 record. They put it on the line next when they host Woodstock for a non-league contest on Saturday, January 27. Belvidere North will battle a Blue Streaks team coming off a 67-44 league win over Marengo (Marengo, IL). The Blue Streaks record now stands at 13-9.

The Bucs (3-19) will now prepare for their contest against Guilford (Rockford, IL). The Vikings enter the Northern Illinois 10 contest with a 18-4 record. In their last contest, Guilford ran past Harlem (Machesney Park, IL), 65-34, in a league contest.
