The Carmel Corsairs basketball team (Mundelein, IL), was overwhelmed 48-19 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Benet Academy Redwings (Lisle, IL)
The Redwings now possess a 18-3 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Normal Community for a non-league battle on Saturday, January 27. Benet Academy will confront a Ironmen team coming off a 66-52 league win over Peoria (Peoria, IL). The Ironmen record now stands at 21-3.
The Corsairs (9-16) will now prepare for their battle against Glenbrook North (Northbrook, IL). The Spartans come into the non-league battle with a 20-4 record. In their last battle, Glenbrook North trounced Hillcrest (Country Club Hills, IL), 59-58, in a non-league battle.
