Chartiers-Houston Buccaneers (Houston, PA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Bentworth Bearcats (Bentleyville, PA), 54-47 in a league bout.

With the win, Chartiers-Houston upgrades its record to 12-5 on the season. The Buccaneers travel to Frazier (Perryopolis, PA) to play the Commodores in a WPIAL 2A 4 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Commodores go into the bout with a record of 9-8. Frazier lost 71-43 in their recent league bout against Fort Cherry (McDonald, PA)

Next up, the Bearcats play the Carmichaels Mighty Mikes (Carmichaels, PA) in a WPIAL 2A 4 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Bentworth will attempt to upgrade on its 3-13 season record. The Mighty Mikes go into the bout with a 3-13 record after their 40-34 league loss to Bethlehem Center (Fredericktown, PA).
