Texas High School Basketball - Bland edges Wolfe City

The Bland Tigers (Merit, TX) basketball nudged the visiting Wolfe City Wolves (Wolfe City, TX), 42-40 in Friday's league contest.

The Tigers now sport a 15-13 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Honey Grove for a 2A Region II District 14 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Bland will meet a Warriors team coming off a 61-36 league win over Celeste (Celeste, TX). The Warriors record now stands at 21-4.

The Wolves (7-20) will now prepare for their contest against Whitewright (Whitewright, TX). The Tigers enter the 2A Region II District 14 contest with a 9-14 record. In their last contest, Whitewright was nudged by Tom Bean (Tom Bean, TX), 49-36, in a league contest.
