North Hopkins Panthers (Sulphur Springs, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Boles Hornets (Quinlan, TX), 69-47 in a league bout.

With the victory, North Hopkins upgrades its record to 20-6 on the campaign. The Panthers host Fruitvale (Fruitvale, TX) to play the Bobcats in a 2A Region II District 15 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bobcats come into the bout with a record of 4-18. Fruitvale lost 60-49 in their recent league bout against Alba-Golden (Alba, TX)

Next up, the Hornets play the Como-Pickton Eagles (Como, TX) in a 2A Region II District 15 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Boles will attempt to upgrade on its 16-12 season record. The Eagles come into the bout with a 2-22 record after their 61-31 league loss to Cooper (Cooper, TX).
