Fans at Friday's league challenge between the Lorenzo Hornets (Lorenzo, TX) and the visiting Borden County Coyotes (Gail, TX), saw Lorenzo's basketball squad overcome Borden County by a tally of 61-49.

With the victory, Lorenzo improves its record to 15-9 on the campaign. The Hornets travel to Southland (Southland, TX) to play the Eagles in a 1A Region I District 6 challenge on Tuesday, January 30. The Eagles come into the challenge with a record of 7-6.

Next up, the Coyotes play the O'Donnell Eagles (O'Donnell, TX) in a 1A Region I District 6 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Borden County will attempt to improve on its 6-4 season record.
