The Bourgade Catholic Golden Eagles (Phoenix, AZ) basketball nipped the host Chino Valley Cougars (Chino Valley, AZ), 62-56 in Friday's league test.

The Golden Eagles (3-13) will now prepare for their test against Northwest Christian (Phoenix, AZ). The Crusaders go into the 3A North Central test with a 11-4 record. In their last test, Northwest Christian got by Camp Verde (Camp Verde, AZ), 63-51, in a league test.

The Cougars now own a 4-12 record. They play next when they host Wickenburg for a 3A North Central test on Saturday, January 27. Chino Valley will encounter a Wranglers squad coming off a 53-49 league loss to Bourgade Catholic (Phoenix, AZ). The Wranglers record now stands at 3-16.
