Brawley Wildcats (Brawley, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Southwest EC Eagles (El Centro, CA), 42-40 in a league bout.

With the win, Brawley upgrades its record to 13-11 on the season. The Wildcats host Holtville (Holtville, CA) to play the Vikings in a Desert bout on Monday, January 29. The Vikings go into the bout with a record of 9-10. Holtville lost 71-36 in their recent league bout against Calipatria (Calipatria, CA)

Next up, the Eagles play the Calipatria Hornets (Calipatria, CA) in a Desert bout, on Monday, January 29. Southwest EC will attempt to upgrade on its 2-18 season record. The Hornets go into the bout with a 16-3 record after their 71-36 league win over Holtville (Holtville, CA).
