The East Rutherford Cavaliers basketball team (Forest City, NC), dropped 72-62 in Friday's league battle with the visiting Brevard Blue Devils (Brevard, NC)

The Blue Devils now sport a 10-8 record. They put it on the line next when they host R-S Central for a 1A/2A Mountain Foothills battle on Tuesday, January 30. Brevard will battle a Hilltoppers team coming off a 59-45 league loss to Hendersonville (Hendersonville, NC). The Hilltoppers record now stands at 7-12.

The Cavaliers (10-9) will now prepare for their battle against Chase (Forest City, NC). The Trojans come into the 1A/2A Mountain Foothills battle with a 0-16 record. In their last battle, Chase dropped by R-S Central (Rutherfordton, NC), 46-41, in a league match.
