The Burton Panthers basketball team scored 47 points and held the visiting Snook Bluejays to 38 in the Panthers league triumph on Friday.
The Panthers now sport a 9-16 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Somerville for a 2A Region IV District 26 contest on Tuesday, January 30. Burton will meet a Yeguas team coming off a 56-47 league loss to Mumford (Mumford, TX). The Yeguas record now stands at 20-6.
The Bluejays (9-16) will now prepare for their contest against Normangee (Normangee, TX). The Panthers enter the 2A Region IV District 26 contest with a 17-11 record. In their last contest, Normangee ran past Iola (Iola, TX), 57-49, in a league contest.
