The Canton Tigers (Canton, OK) basketball knocked off the visiting Cherokee Chiefs (Cherokee, OK), 49-40 in Friday's non-league test.
The Tigers (4-13) will now prepare for their test against Okeene (Okeene, OK). The Whippets go into the non-league test with a 5-12 record. In their last test, Okeene went down by Geary (Geary, OK), 67-62, in a non-league test.
The Chiefs now own a 5-14 record. They play next when they host Pioneer-Pleasant Vale for a non-league test on Tuesday, January 30.
