Powder River County Hawks (Broadus, MT) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Carter County Bulldogs (Ekalaka, MT), 62-60 in a league bout.

With the win, Powder River County upgrades its record to 7-6 on the season. The Hawks host Garfield County (Jordan, MT) to play the Mustangs in a C District 4 bout on Saturday, January 27. The Mustangs go into the bout with a record of 7-0. Garfield County won 72-29 in their recent league challenge against Wibaux (Wibaux, MT)

Next up, the Bulldogs confront the Powder River County Hawks (Broadus, MT) in a C District 4 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Carter County will attempt to improve on its 4-9 season record. The Hawks come into the challenge with a 7-7 record after their 64-56 league loss to Garfield County (Jordan, MT).
