Catholic Central Cougars (Grand Rapids, MI) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the host Wayland Wildcats (Wayland, MI), 67-45 in a league bout.

With the victory, Catholic Central upgrades its record to 9-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Muskegon Heights (Muskegon Heights, MI) to play the Tigers in a non-league bout on Monday, January 29. The Tigers come into the bout with a record of 2-6. Muskegon Heights won 54-46 in their recent non-league bout against Kelloggsville (Wyoming, MI)

Next up, the Wildcats play the South Christian Sailors (Grand Rapids, MI) in a Ottawa-Kent - Gold bout, on Monday, January 29. Wayland will attempt to upgrade on its 3-11 season record. The Sailors come into the bout with a 10-4 record after their 75-44 league win over Kenowa Hills (Grand Rapids, MI).
