Coosa Eagles (Rome, GA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the visiting Chattooga Indians (Summerville, GA), 68-66 in a league bout.

With the win, Coosa upgrades its record to 7-16 on the season. The Eagles host Dalton Academy (Dalton, GA) to clash with the Pumas in a non-league bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Pumas go into the bout with a record of 5-12.

Next up, the Indians clash with the Pepperell Dragons (Lindale, GA) in a A D1 Region 7 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Chattooga will attempt to upgrade on its 4-18 season record. The Dragons go into the bout with a 8-12 record after their 70-53 non-league loss to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, GA).
