Clarendon Broncos (Clarendon, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Quanah Indians (Quanah, TX), 54-41 in a league bout.

With the win, Clarendon upgrades its record to 8-3 on the season. The Broncos travel to Memphis (Memphis, TX) to clash with the Cyclones in a 2A Region I District 2 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Cyclones go into the bout with a record of 8-13. Memphis lost 61-43 in their recent league challenge against Wellington (Wellington, TX)

Next up, the Indians play the Shamrock Irish (Shamrock, TX) in a 2A Region I District 2 challenge, on Tuesday, January 30. Quanah will attempt to improve on its 16-11 season record. The Irish come into the challenge with a 5-16 record after their 70-25 league loss to Wheeler (Wheeler, TX).
