In Friday's league match, the visiting New Hope Trojans basketball team scored a tight 70-65 triumph over the Clarksdale Wildcats.
In their next game, the Trojans meet the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 5A Region 1 match, on Tuesday, January 30. New Hope will attempt to move on its 20-2 season record. The Warriors enter the match with a 14-10 record after their 49-39 league loss to Corinth (Corinth, MS).
With the defeat, Clarksdale moves to 7-15 on the year. The Wildcats travel to Lafayette (Oxford, MS) to meet the Commodores in a 5A Region 1 match on Monday, January 29. The Commodores enter the match with a record of 10-14.
