Gallatin County Hawks (Junction, IL) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the host Crab Orchard Trojans (Marion, IL), 75-63 in a non-league bout.

With the win, Gallatin County upgrades its record to 10-13 on the season. The Hawks travel to Hardin County (Elizabethtown, IL) to play the Cougars in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Cougars go into the bout with a record of 5-9. Hardin County lost 55-54 in their recent league bout against Pope County (Golconda, IL)

Next up, the Trojans play the Thompsonville (Thompsonville, IL) in a Greater Egyptian bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Crab Orchard will attempt to upgrade on its 13-7 season record. The go into the bout with a 2-18 record after their 67-57 non-league loss to Cairo (Cairo, IL).
