Crossett Eagles (Crossett, AR) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Hamburg Lions (Hamburg, AR), 57-44 in a league bout.

With the victory, Crossett upgrades its record to 7-16 on the campaign. The Eagles host Watson Chapel (Pine Bluff, AR) to play the Wildcats in a 4A Region 8 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Wildcats come into the bout with a record of 7-11.

Next up, the Lions play the Mills University Studies Comets (Little Rock, AR) in a 4A Region 8 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Hamburg will attempt to upgrade on its 9-10 season record. The Comets come into the bout with a 14-8 record after their 70-46 league win over Monticello (Monticello, AR).
