Van Horn Eagles (Van Horn, TX) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad bounce the visiting Dell City Cougars (Dell City, TX), 60-32 in a league bout.
With the victory, Van Horn upgrades its record to 18-8 on the campaign. The Eagles host Balmorhea (Balmorhea, TX) to play the Bears in a 1A Region II District 9 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Bears come into the bout with a record of 5-6.
Next up, the Cougars play the Big Bend Roadrunners (Terlingua, TX) in a 1A Region II District 9 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Dell City will attempt to upgrade on its 4-8 season record. The Roadrunners come into the bout with a 0-4 record after their 73-12 league loss to Van Horn (Van Horn, TX).
