Tipton Tigers (Tipton, IA) backers were pleased Friday as they saw their basketball squad knock off the visiting Durant Wildcats (Durant, IA), 62-42 in a league bout.

With the victory, Tipton upgrades its record to 7-8 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to Calamus-Wheatland (Wheatland, IA) to play the Warriors in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Warriors come into the bout with a record of 10-5. Calamus-Wheatland won 69-67 in their recent non-league bout against Prince of Peace Prep (Clinton, IA)

Next up, the Wildcats play the West Liberty Comets (West Liberty, IA) in a River Valley bout, on Monday, January 29. Durant will attempt to upgrade on its 0-17 season record.
