Illinois High School Basketball - East Alton-Wood River ripped by Freeburg

The Freeburg Midgets basketball team scored 79 points and held the visiting East Alton-Wood River Oilers to 46 in the Midgets league victory on Friday.
With the victory, Freeburg upgrades its record to 14-10 on the campaign. The Midgets travel to Father McGivney Catholic (Glen Carbon, IL) to play the Griffins in a non-league bout on Saturday, January 27. The Griffins come into the bout with a record of 8-15. Father McGivney Catholic won 74-47 in their recent non-league bout against SIUE East St. Louis Charter (East St. Louis, IL)
Next up, the Oilers play the Southwestern Piasa Birds (Piasa, IL) in a non-league bout, on Tuesday, January 30. East Alton-Wood River will attempt to upgrade on its 3-21 season record. The Piasa Birds come into the bout with a 16-8 record after their 56-26 league loss to Greenville (Greenville, IL).
