The East Grand Rapids Pioneers basketball team scored 60 points and held the host Lowell Red Arrows to 49 in the Pioneers league triumph on Friday.

The Pioneers now sport a 4-10 record. They put it on the line next when they host Rockford for a non-league contest on Tuesday, January 30. East Grand Rapids will meet a Rams team coming off a 80-51 league win over Jenison (Jenison, MI). The Rams record now stands at 11-3.

The Red Arrows (5-8) will now prepare for their contest against Byron Center (Byron Center, MI). The Bulldogs enter the Ottawa-Kent - Gold contest with a 7-5 record. In their last contest, Byron Center ran past Forest Hills Northern (Grand Rapids, MI), 63-59, in a league contest.
