Fountain Valley Barons (Fountain Valley, CA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad tip the host Edison Chargers (Huntington Beach, CA), 64-62 in a league bout.

With the win, Fountain Valley upgrades its record to 16-10 on the season. The Barons host Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA) to play the Griffins in a Surf bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Griffins go into the bout with a record of 21-5. Los Alamitos lost 66-65 in their recent non-league bout against Mater Dei (Santa Ana, CA)

Next up, the Chargers play the Newport Harbor Sailors (Newport Beach, CA) in a Surf bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Edison will attempt to upgrade on its 19-7 season record. The Sailors go into the bout with a 21-5 record after their 77-64 league loss to Los Alamitos (Los Alamitos, CA).
