The Mavericks enter the game with a 5-12 record after their 65-62 league win over Sunnyside (Sunnyside, WA).

With the defeat, West Valley moves to 10-6 on the year. The Rams travel to Wenatchee (Wenatchee, WA) to face the Panthers in a 4A Columbia Basin Big-9 game on Tuesday, January 30. The Panthers enter the game with a record of 0-17. Wenatchee lost 85-28 in their recent league game against Davis (Yakima, WA)
