The Franklin Lions (Franklin, TX) basketball crushed the visiting Fairfield Eagles (Fairfield, TX), 67-40 in Friday's league test.

The Lions (7-8) will now prepare for their test against Teague (Teague, TX). The Lions go into the 3A Region III District 20 test with a 8-11 record. In their last test, Teague was trounced by Groesbeck (Groesbeck, TX), 38-37, in a league test.

The Eagles now own a 11-16 record. They play next when they host Mexia for a 3A Region III District 20 test on Tuesday, January 30. Fairfield will encounter a Black Cats squad coming off a 102-45 league win over Elkhart (Elkhart, TX). The Black Cats record now stands at 19-11.
