The Fleming Colonels (Roanoke, VA) basketball nipped the visiting Northside Vikings (Roanoke, VA), 81-74 in Friday's league test.
The Colonels (10-5) will now prepare for their test against Lord Botetourt (Daleville, VA). The Cavaliers go into the Blue Ridge test with a 10-8 record. In their last test, Lord Botetourt got by Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA), 71-57, in a league bout.
Next up, the Vikings clash with the Staunton River Golden Eagles (Moneta, VA) in a Blue Ridge bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Northside will attempt to upgrade on its 15-3 season record. The Golden Eagles go into the bout with a 7-10 record after their 73-41 league loss to Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA).
