The Fordyce Redbugs basketball team (Fordyce, AR), was nudged 65-61 in Friday's league battle with the host Woodlawn Bears (Rison, AR)
The Bears now sport a 15-6 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Junction City for a 2A Region 8 battle on Tuesday, January 30. Woodlawn will battle a Dragons team coming off a 75-57 league win over Ouachita (Donaldson, AR). The Dragons record now stands at 12-5.
The Redbugs (8-9) will now prepare for their battle against Gurdon (Gurdon, AR). The Go-Devils come into the 2A Region 8 battle with a 2-12 record. In their last battle, Gurdon was nudged by Rison (Rison, AR), 52-35, in a league battle.
