Fort Stockton Panthers (Fort Stockton, TX) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad thwart the visiting Pecos Eagles (Pecos, TX), 66-53 in a league bout.

With the win, Fort Stockton upgrades its record to 3-19 on the season. The Panthers travel to Seminole (Seminole, TX) to play the Indians in a 4A Region I District 3 bout on Tuesday, January 30. The Indians go into the bout with a record of 21-9. Seminole won 55-31 in their recent league bout against Andrews (Andrews, TX)

Next up, the Eagles play the Monahans Loboes (Monahans, TX) in a 4A Region I District 3 bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Pecos will attempt to upgrade on its 3-18 season record. The Loboes go into the bout with a 17-11 record after their 81-80 league loss to Greenwood (Midland, TX).
