Freeman Scotties (Rockford, WA) backers were in high spirits Friday as they witnessed their basketball squad bounce the host Newport Grizzlies (Newport, WA), 88-14 in a league bout.

With the win, Freeman upgrades its record to 16-2 on the season. The Scotties travel to Riverside (Chattaroy, WA) to clash with the Rams in a 1A Northeast bout on Saturday, January 27. The Rams go into the bout with a record of 13-4. Riverside won 75-32 in their recent league bout against Medical Lake (Medical Lake, WA)

Next up, the Grizzlies clash with the Colville Crimson Hawks (Colville, WA) in a 1A Northeast bout, on Tuesday, January 30. Newport will attempt to upgrade on its 2-15 season record. The Crimson Hawks go into the bout with a 2-15 record after their 68-45 league loss to Lakeside (Nine Mile Falls, WA).
