With the victory, Lake Mills upgrades its record to 17-1 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Garner-Hayfield (Garner, IA) to play the Cardinals in a non-league bout on Friday, January 26. The Cardinals come into the bout with a record of 1-1.

Next up, the Cardinals play the Newman Catholic Knights (Mason City, IA) in a North Iowa bout, on Saturday, January 27. Garner-Hayfield/Ventura will attempt to upgrade on its 8-8 season record. The Knights come into the bout with a 10-6 record after their 64-50 non-league win over Northwood-Kensett (Northwood, IA).
